Amazon will also alerts their customers when a price drops or rises, that's been one of the indirect way asking their customer for making a purchase.

Today’s, there is approximate tens of millions of customers purchasing goods and services from Amazon.com over the world and its company revenues exceeding to $8 million each of the year. As we can see today, Amazon.com is the most successful e-retailer in the E-commerce world.
